Abstract In response to Hong Kong's Climate Action Plan 2050 and to achieve a net-zero carbon emission target by 2050, ESG has become a very key topic in Hong Kong across business sectors. As the leading global environmental service provider in environmental facilities management, Veolia has been a sustainable development pioneer by committing to ecological transformation and creating our values in the pillars of Environmental, Social and Governance. Whether it is optimising the operational procedures to cut down carbon emission from treatment plants, landfills and buildings in both public and private sectors, enhancing wastewater treatment and minimising water consumption, and transforming waste into useful resources, Veolia works collaboratively with different stakeholders to drive the ESG growth in Hong Kong. Our manifesto of ecological transformation is to offer decarbonization solutions to contribute to the circular economy in Hong Kong. Biography After a few years in consulting firms that brought him to different continents, Laurent Pelletier joined Veolia twenty years ago and has not quit Asia ever since.
